History of “Petrified”...

Petrified initially began as short play which was presented at the Rochester Repertory Theater Company in 2010 and later reprised in 2014 as part of the “Treasures in Ten” series.

As writer/creator of the original play, Joel Adlen with composer/lyricist Leonard Moors
re-worked the show's core idea – a family coping with this century’s Great Recession – into a full two-act musical. Since then, Petrified as a musical has have two stage readings, 2013 in NYC, and in 2014 at Cap21, NYC, followed by a demo presentation/recording in San Francisco in 2015.
